Game Development Festival (PGDF ‘13) - De La Salle College of Saint Benilde

In its bid to promote the country as a premier destination for game development, the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) is organizing the Philippine Game Development Festival (PGDF ‘13) from October 25 to 26 at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in Manila. The event is in partnership with DLS-CSB and the Department of Science and Technology’s Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO).

“We have what it takes to be a strong key player when it comes to providing high-quality game development services to clients as well as coming up with strong intellectual properties,” says Alvin Juban, GDAP president.

Knockdown Events and Productions in cooperation with Close Up and Lucky Strike bring you Disguise, a pre-halloween costume party celebration to close down the semester.

Playdate with Pocoyo at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls

Another exciting playtime adventure awaits kids this September as Megaworld Lifestyle Malls proudly brings Playdate with Pocoyo.

Pocoyo, the fun-loving and inquisitive little boy from the world-famous 3D animated series, will be headlining a series of fantastic kiddie events at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, where kids can also enjoy a great variety of fun performances and pocket activities.

Fans of Pocoyo can see the super cute and adorable cartoon character come into life in separate meet and greet opportunities at Eastwood Mall on September 22, Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill on September 28 and at Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila on September 29, from 2pm to 6pm. He will also be greeting the kids at Lucky Chinatown in Binondo on September 27, from 4pm to 8pm.
Aside from the chance to see Pocoyo up-close, kids can also have a delightful time in a slew of fun-filled activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, photo booths and more. There will also be various kiddie performances from talented magicians and ventriloquists. Kids can also look forward to an amazing bubble show and mascot dance numbers that will surely captivate their imagination.
Getting a play date with Pocoyo is easy. Parents and guests just need to present a single or accumulated transaction receipt worth P2,000 from any Megaworld Lifestyle Malls (Eastwood City, Lucky Chinatown, Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill and Newport Mall) establishment from September 16 to 29, 2013 to get a free Meet&Greet Pass.
To redeem the Meet&Greet Pass, customers just need to present their receipts at the Eastwood Mall and Lucky Chinatown Concierge or at the Newport Mall Redemption Counter or at the Venice Piazza Admin Office during mall hours. One pass admits one kid and one adult companion, and valid only on the date and venue chosen by the holder. All purchases shall be made during the promo period only.
Set in 3D, Pocoyo is one of the worlds’ most watched 3D animated TV shows and among the first shows to use the ‘Learning through Laughter’ technique. The show revolves around the 3 year-old boy named Pocoyo, who is usually shown with his friends Pato (the duck), Elly (the elephant) and Loula (the dog).
